Angelina Ix-Ik’ Londoño, Ph.D., NBC-HWC
About Me
Greetings! I'm Angelina, the founder of Ix-Ik Health & Wellness LLC, where our mission is to cultivate well-being and empower communities. With a strong focus on serving Spanish-speaking individuals, I specialize in consulting for non-profits and startups, implementing community well-being initiatives, and facilitating chronic-disease education programs.
Educational Background
My journey in health and wellness began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This laid the foundation for my subsequent academic pursuits, including a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Integrative Biomedical Sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I furthered my training through post-doctoral fellowships in Oncology at both the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Michigan, where I delved into translational research aimed at understanding and treating various cancers.
Passion for Health and Wellness
My academic journey, grounded in evidence-based research, paved the way for my passion for holistic health and wellness, highlighting the pivotal importance of preventive health measures. As a board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC), I am dedicated to training coaches and empowering clients through personalized one-on-one or group coaching sessions. I wholeheartedly believe in the life-changing impact of lifestyle interventions that include nutrition, physical activity, mental health, health empowerment, and community support. By embracing inclusivity and connection, we enrich our journey toward optimal health and wellness. This holistic approach cultivates joy, authenticity, and meaningful connections, guiding us through both our shared health challenges and victories.
Professional Experience
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations and organizations, including Open Source Wellness, Rosa es Rojo™, Amani Nicol Wellness, See Yourself Health, and Pack Health, among others. My roles have ranged from faculty lecturer and health coach to program director and ambassador, allowing me to leverage my expertise in health promotion, coaching, and community engagement to make a meaningful impact.
Let's Connect!
Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in savoring life's simple pleasures, whether it's enjoying a cup of tea, embarking on adventures with my family, or cherishing quality moments with my feline companions. I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact and am always eager to connect and collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations.
Together, let's join forces and create meaningful change in the world of health and wellness!
Warm regards,
